Overview

SMSGuard (hereinafter referred to as "we") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.

You choose how filtering works: Custom rules and offline filtering process messages on your device. When cloud filtering is enabled, iOS sends messages requiring cloud classification, including their sender, to our server and model provider. You can switch back to offline filtering at any time.

1. Information Collection

1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Contact Information - We do not access your contacts
• Call History - We do not access your call logs

1.2 Information We May Collect

Cloud message content and sender information are used to process the classification request and are stored in server filtering records together with the classification result, duration and timestamp for administrator review and troubleshooting. Filtering records are retained for 30 days by default and removed by a scheduled task; application runtime logs contain only statistics such as category and duration. Samples you explicitly submit are stored with their labels to improve filtering. Remove personal information, passwords and verification codes you do not wish to share before submitting.

Support feedback includes your message, optional email address, device identifier, model, operating system and app version. Support notifications may be sent through Feishu.

• Device Information - Device model, operating system version, used for product compatibility optimization
• Usage Statistics - Feature usage frequency, crash logs, used for product improvement
• Subscription Information - Subscription status provided by Apple, used to unlock Plus features

Device identifiers, subscription information and an email you provide may be linked to you. Share only information needed to resolve your issue. Contact us to access or delete content you submitted.

2. Use of Information

We use the collected information solely for:

• Providing and improving SMS filtering services
• Fixing product defects and improving stability
• Analyzing usage trends to optimize user experience
• Processing subscriptions and providing customer support

3. Information Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your custom rules and settings are stored locally on your device, with the option to sync to your other devices via iCloud. iCloud sync is protected by Apple's encryption technology.

3.2 Security Measures

We take the following security measures to protect your information:

• SMS filtering extension runs in iOS sandbox, isolated from the main app
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Following Apple's security best practices

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Alibaba Cloud DashScope / Google Gemini - Cloud classification, depending on the regional service configuration
• Feishu - Support notifications for submitted feedback
• Apple App Store - App distribution and subscription processing
• RevenueCat - Subscription management (Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Analytics - Usage statistics (Privacy Policy)

5. Your Rights

Under applicable laws, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access - You can request to view information we hold about you
• Right to Rectification - You can request correction of inaccurate information
• Right to Erasure - You can request deletion of your information

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you discover that we may have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be published in the App or on our website with the update date. Continued use of the App indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
